I’m a Book Discovery Specialist with a passion for helping authors uncover opportunities for their books to reach more potential readers.
In today's crowded publishing space, having a great book is only part of the journey. A book also needs to be discoverable. Readers need to be able to find it, understand what makes it interesting, and connect with the story behind it.
That is where my work begins.
I look at books from a reader-focused perspective, exploring their presentation, online visibility, positioning, and the journey a potential reader takes from discovering a book to becoming interested in it.
MY APPROACH
I Start With the Book
Every book is different.
Rather than applying the same formula to every author, I take time to understand the book, its genre, themes, audience, and unique qualities.
I Research Before I Recommend
I believe good discovery starts with research.
I examine the areas surrounding a book's online presence and look for opportunities that may help improve its visibility and reader reach.
I Think Like a Reader
A book may be meaningful to its author, but potential readers need their own reason to stop, explore, and become interested.
I look at the experience from the reader's point of view.
I Look for Opportunities
My goal is to help authors see possibilities they may not have noticed from presentation and positioning to reader connection and promotional opportunities.
